Do I need a doctor’s referral? You only need a doctor’s referral if you are classified as a worker’s compensation claim, third party claim, or a Veteran’s Affairs patient.
Can I claim a rebate? Yes you can if you have “extras” cover with your private health insurance fund. Physio-Life has a Hicaps facility which allows you to process your claim with your private health fund and all you pay is the gap payment. Hassle free claiming done at the time of treatment.
How to get here? If you are coming from the north along Pacific Highway, turn left into Albany Street and at the first roundabout turn left into Oxley Street. Atchison Street is the first street you will cross and we are located at the corner of Oxley Street and Atchison Street. If you are coming from the south on the Pacific Highway turn right into Albany Street, then left at the roundabout into Oxley Street. If you are coming from the south along the Warringah Freeway, take the Brook Street exit, turn left at Brook Street, right at Chandos Street then turn left at the roundabout into Oxley Street.
Where to Park? One hour free parking is available on Atchison Street between Oxley Street and Willoughby Road from 8.30am-6pm Monday to Friday. The closest council parking station is on Hume Street and parking is free for 2 hours, entry is via Pole Lane. Metered parking is available on Oxley Street, Atchison Street and Albany Road at $2.40/hour for a maximum of 2 hours from 8.30-6pm Monday to Friday.
Public Transport? St Leonards train station is a short 10 minute walk away. Local bus stops are located on the Pacific Highway near Albany Street St Leonards or on Willoughby Road Crows Nest near Atchison Street.
How long is a physiotherapy treatment session? Appointments are booked at half hour intervals, if you are a new client please arrive 5 minutes early to fill in the necessary paperwork.
What to wear? Loose fitting clothes are the most comfortable, however we do provide shorts if you need them.
What to bring? Please bring your referral if you have one and any investigations you have eg. Xray, Ultrasound, MRI.
